Setup guide?

I've found it a bit tricky to download and install MV3D via your website.

If you could give me a hand setting it up, i'd appreciate it.

Also, if you want to me to make a step by step quick start guide on a forum thread, i'd be happy to.

Have you had a look at the User Manual here: http://www.mv3d.com/trac/wiki/UserManual

It's not great, but it should be somewhat helpful. If that doesn't help, then we should definitely update it with whatever it is lacking. Also, if you haven't found it and have any ideas on how to make it more obvious, let me know!

for some reason i can't seem to connect to a game server.

once i click connect, it just sits there until it times out.

(all of my login details are correct)

i was mainly having trouble with the download list.

they're not in any particular order, so it's not easy to understand which file to download.

Are you connecting to the demo servers? I should give them a try, but they are supposedly up.

Ugh, yes. I hear you. That plugin for Trac is really horrible. I've been thinking about just making the SourceForge page the default download location.

Also, reading over your post in the other forum, this is a better download (the one you posted was for the previous version). You can create an account from the Client in that version. Clicking register on the website only registers you as a Trac user (or the forums depending). The logins aren't currently linked to the game. You can however go to [url]https://login.mv3d.com:8080/[url] to make a login for the demo servers (or as I mentioned, there's a register button in the client now).

it still gets to about 10% of the loading bar then just stops.

I'm running on 64 bit btw, i'm not sure if that's an issue.

ok - it's finally loading, although whenever i spawn i just do some weird falling through the world / hovering in the air until i press a key - loop.

Try hitting the z key to reset your position (maybe a couple of times). Seems like it chose a bad spawn point for you.
