Description

Problem

We need to support terrain in some fashion. The terrain should be able to be any size, and should work even if it is extremely large. It should have the ability to support multiple materials. It should be easily transportable over the network or persisted to disk. It should be deformable. It should also be fast. There should be a way to decrease the level of detail displayed by it.
