Adding Items in Composer

Adding items in Composer can be done in several ways. The first is to double click on the asset in the asset list. This will add a new item at 0, 0, 0 based on the selected asset. The second way to add items is to use the Add Item mode. In this mode, signified by the toolbar icon with a +, clicking in the render window will create a new object based on the selected asset. In this mode, the snap to ground toggle will cause the new item to be placed on the ground closest to where you clicked.

The third way to add items is by the spray tool. This tool causes new items a few at a time. It's particularly useful for adding trees, bushes, rocks, or other clutter. In this mode, the selected asset is used to create items. On the brush pane, the option for amount can be used to raise or lower the rate at which new items are created. Also, the brush size, scale and rotation offsets all affect the created items. This allows you to place randomly sized and oriented items.
