Mass Importer

The Importer tool comes with mass import functionality so that a whole directory full of assets can be processed in batch. To access this functionality, first select an asset group by double clicking on it. Then go under the menu to File->Import Directory. This window will come up.

In there, first you'll want to choose the directory to import either by entering it manually or clicking the Choose Directory button. Then enter any metadata that you are interested in adding. Make sure to populate the URL Prefix field and select an uploaded in the main application if you want your assets to be downloaded by HTTP.

Once you are ready, hit Start Import. If you have a lot of assets in the folder, this may take a while. There are two passes that are done. The first pass just imports the assets as is. The second pass searches for their dependencies.

After the assets are imported, you can hit the Start Import button hit to update any assets that have been changed.
